How does olive oil help dry skin?

Olive oil is a remarkable natural product that is known for its hydrating properties and offers a multitude of benefits for the skin. With its rich composition of vitamins and antioxidants, olive oil helps the skin retain moisture while protecting it from external aggressors. Skin is often prone to dryness and moisture loss, which can lead to an uncomfortable feeling of tightness and possibly even skin irritation. This is where olive oil comes into play. Its natural properties help to moisturize the skin and keep it supple. It also forms a protective layer on the skin that prevents moisture loss and at the same time forms a barrier against harmful environmental influences.

Extra virgin olive oil is the highest quality grade among virgin olive oils. Only a small proportion of the entire harvest meets the strict quality requirements for this category. The olives must be processed within a maximum of 24 hours after harvesting and must not show any signs of damage. The “Extra” indicates the first harvest of olives with a lower acidity compared to olives harvested later.

How does vitamin E affect the skin?

Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, plays an essential role in skin care. It helps protect the skin from free radical damage caused by pollution, UV radiation and other external factors. In addition, vitamin E helps the skin retain moisture by strengthening the barrier function and reducing transepidermal water loss. This results in hydrated, supple skin and helps minimize the appearance of dryness, fine lines and other signs of premature aging.
