VITAMIN E -
APPLICATION AND USE

What effect does vitamin E have on the skin?

Vitamin E is a natural, fat-soluble vitamin found primarily in vegetable oils such as sunflower oil, rapeseed oil and olive oil. We often rely on vitamin E in our everyday lives, for example when it comes to nutrition. A deficiency manifests itself in tiredness and weakness. But vitamin E also has an effect on the skin, which is why it is often used in cosmetic products.

What is vitamin E good for?

As a so-called antioxidant, it not only helps to preserve natural oils such as our olive oil, but also has a positive effect on the skin. Our skin is exposed to many environmental influences every day. Sunlight, with its harmful UV rays, is one of them. This results in skin ageing and damaged skin.

As an antioxidant, vitamin E can scavenge radicals formed on the skin by UV rays and thus help to maintain healthy skin. Healthy and nourished skin retains its own moisture better, which improves the complexion and reduces wrinkles.

Why is vitamin E our boost ingredient in the my olive oil range?

Vitamin E is an important component of olive oil and is naturally already included in MY OLIVE OIL products due to the choice of our Hero oil. With regard to the olive as the main Hero active ingredient, we have also decided to design the boosts around the olive. With our squalane and vitamin E in combination, we are focussing even more on the power of the olive.

What is vitamin E good for in facial and body care?

The main effect of vitamin E is to reduce free radicals that damage the skin. With healthy skin comes many benefits such as:

  • the formation of collagen
  • strengthening the skin’s natural protective barrier
  • supplying the skin with moisture
  • the general improvement of the skin’s appearance.

Who is the vitamin E ingredient suitable for and why?

Vitamin E is particularly suitable for people with dry skin. It acts as an antioxidant that protects the skin from harmful free radicals and helps to moisturise and soothe the skin.

Vitamin E helps to improve the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles by promoting collagen production and firming the skin.
