Tea Tree

Tea tree is an evergreen myrtle plant native to Australia. Among the more than 300 types of tea trees, a tea tree oil of unique quality can be found especially at Melaleuca alternifolia. The oil is extracted via steam distillation of the tea tree leaves and twigs, and consists of around 100 different substances. Some of them are extremely rare in the plant world. And it is precisely the interplay of these components that makes the tea tree oil particularly effective.

 Tea Tree

The positive effect of tea tree oil was already known to the indigenous peoples of Australia. They relied on this plant power for gum inflammation, skin infections and colds.

The tea tree oil is attributed strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties - which is why it can be used in many ways, especially in the areas of personal care and oral hygiene.
