HYALURONIC ACID-
AGAINST WRINKLES

What are the qualities of hyaluron?

Hyaluron is often referred to as hyaluronic acid. It is a naturally occurring molecule that is found in high concentrations in the body, particularly in the skin. It has the unique ability to bind up to 1000 times its own weight in water. As a result, it plays a key role in maintaining skin moisture, elasticity and firmness.

What effect does hyaluron have?

Hyaluronic acid is known in skin care and medicine for its many positive effects, especially in terms of moisturizing. Hyaluronic acid is an outstanding moisturizer. It can bind 1,000 times its own weight in water and store it in the skin. This property helps to intensively hydrate the skin, making it appear plumper and minimizing dryness lines and wrinkles. It improves the skin’s structure and elasticity, making the skin appear younger and smoother. Hyaluronic acid is therefore a key ingredient in anti-ageing products.

How is hyaluron extracted?

Hyaluron can be produced in two ways. On the one hand, it can be obtained from animal sources such as cockscombs, but this is rarely done today as this method can cause allergic reactions and animal impurities in addition to ethical reasons. Today, biotechnological production via fermentation is therefore used. Special cultures that can form hyaluronic acid are used for this purpose. This is then isolated from the culture medium and purified.

Is hyaluronic acid questionable?

As hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the human body, the risk of intolerance or allergic reactions is very low. The hyaluronic acid used in cosmetic products is often synthetically produced or obtained from bacterial fermentation, which makes it well tolerated by most skin types.

Why do we use hyaluronic acid as a booster in the MY ALOE VERA range?

Hyaluronic acid is not only a very effective boost, but also occurs naturally in our bodies for the very purpose of intensively storing moisture. Hyaluron and hyaluronic acid are the same thing. For a range like MY ALOE VERA, where the focus is on skin hydration, many boosters could be considered in principle. Hyaluronic acid is characterized by very good skin compatibility, a very targeted effect and a very light texture – which fits perfectly with our MY ALOE VERA products.
