How does tea tree oil help against pimples?
Thanks to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect, tea tree oil is known as a problem solver for blemished skin.
Blemishes, pimples and pustules are caused by hyperkeratosis, an excessive keratinisation of the skin. This causes a blockage in the sebaceous glands, as the sebum can no longer drain properly, resulting in comedones (blackheads). The sebum forms a very good breeding ground for bacteria, which can lead to inflammation. Tea tree oil counteracts the bacteria, causing the inflammation to subside.
How does zinc PCA affect the skin?
Zinc PCA is a compound of zinc and PCA and is often used in skincare for a clear and even complexion. Zinc causes enlarged pores to contract and regulates sebum production. It helps to refine your skin texture by drying out minor skin impurities and therefore has a positive effect on your skin texture. At the same time, PCA protects your skin from drying out, as the active ingredient is characterised by its water-binding properties.
Cleansing / Exfoliation: Apply once a day to moist facial skin, massage in gently and wash off thoroughly.
Mask: Apply to the skin 2-3 times a week, leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with water. Do not apply to the eyes and lip areas.
